There is no Justice League yet in the 1940s. There is the Society, a covert squad led by Wonder Woman fighting Nazis behind the curtain. The Flash, voiced by Matt Bomer, drops in as a stranger from the future and helps them uncover a threat far bigger than ordinary sabotage. Hawkman, the original Flash Jay Garrick and Steel fill out the ranks, with Stana Katic voicing Wonder Woman.

The film belongs to DC's rebooted animated universe and leans on Golden Age comic heroes who rarely reach the screen. It clocks a brisk 84 minutes and keeps the pace at a run from the opening scene.
