Megan gets paired with Rex, a German shepherd so aggressive that other handlers had given up on him. At first the two barely tolerate each other. Then a deployment to Iraq in the mid-2000s throws them into the same deadly routine: walking ahead of the convoy, sniffing out hidden bombs, day after day. More than a hundred missions later, a roadside blast leaves Megan fighting just to keep the dog she nearly died beside. Tom Felton, Ramón Rodríguez, Bradley Whitford, Common and Edie Falco fill out the cast.
