About

Synopsis

Flight 7500 (2014) is an airborne horror film from Takashi Shimizu, the director behind Ju-On: The Grudge, and you can watch it online on iFILM. An overnight Vista Pacific flight leaves Los Angeles for Tokyo. Ten hours over open ocean. No way off.

It opens ordinary: rehearsed cabin-crew smiles, cramped seats, passengers settling in to sleep. Then a different kind of turbulence sets in. Something is aboard, and it works through the travelers one by one inside a sealed cabin six miles up. The ensemble includes Leslie Bibb, Amy Smart, Ryan Kwanten, Jamie Chung and Scout Taylor-Compton, each carrying a private fear and a secret onto the plane.

Shimizu transplants his trademark Japanese dread from a haunted house into a pressurized aluminum tube where there is physically nowhere to hide. The runtime is lean — under eighty minutes, no slow taxi to the gate. The closing twist splits audiences down the middle, and that is half the fun: either you call it early or it genuinely turns the whole trip around. Stream Flight 7500 (2014) online on iFILM.
