The Grudge

The Grudge (2004) is Takashi Shimizu's horror film you can watch online on iFILM. A house in Tokyo holds the rage of the dead, and anyone who walks in carries it back out.

Karen, an American care worker played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, takes a nursing job in Tokyo and ends up inside that house. The previous caregiver has vanished. The elderly woman she's meant to look after sits frozen and unresponsive, and a black shape keeps sliding along the walls. As Karen digs into the family that died there, she learns the truth too late. The curse doesn't bargain. It marks everyone who comes near it and passes from one victim to the next.

Shimizu directed the original Japanese Ju-on before remaking it for Hollywood, and he kept what mattered: the broken throat-rattle sound, the white-faced child, the dread with no rules. The timeline jumps out of order, which only tightens the grip. Stream The Grudge (2004) online on iFILM.
