Synopsis
Beetlejuice (1988) is Tim Burton's dark fantasy comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Produced by Geffen Pictures and Warner Bros., the film follows Adam and Barbara Maitland (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis), a quiet New England couple who die in a freak accident and find themselves trapped in their own house — as ghosts with no idea how to haunt anyone.
Their afterlife gets complicated when the Deetz family moves in from New York. Stepmother Delia (Catherine O'Hara) immediately starts gutting the house with modern art, while her stepdaughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) — brooding and a little bit ghostly herself — is the only one who can actually see the Maitlands. Running out of options, Adam and Barbara summon Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton), a crude and chaotic "bio-exorcist" whose idea of help creates far bigger problems than it solves.
Released in March 1988, the film earned cult status almost immediately and spawned a long-awaited sequel in 2024 with the original cast returning. Keaton's manic, unpredictable performance remains one of the defining comic turns of 1980s cinema. Watch Beetlejuice (1988) online on iFILM in high quality.
