Synopsis
Soul Plane (2004) is a raunchy comedy from director Jessy Terrero you can watch online on iFILM. After an airline botches a flight and kills his beloved dog, Nashawn Wade sues, wins a fortune, and sinks the settlement into launching his own carrier, NWA.
The pitch is wild: a dream flight built for a Black clientele, complete with an in-cabin DJ, a dance floor where the aisle should be, and a crew more interested in the party than the safety briefing. Captain Mack (Snoop Dogg) takes the controls without much idea how to fly. Things hold together until the oddball white Hunkee family, led by Tom Arnold, boards by mistake and the whole operation slides into chaos.
This is an unhinged riff on Airplane! wrapped in early-2000s hip-hop culture, and the humor is crude enough that it won't land for everyone. The cast is the draw, though: an early big-screen turn from Kevin Hart, plus Method Man, Mo'Nique and a very young Sofía Vergara.
