Things Heard & Seen

Things Heard & Seen (2021) is a supernatural horror film you can watch online on iFILM. A young wife trades Manhattan for a quiet farmhouse and learns that both her husband and the house itself are hiding something rotten.

Catherine (Amanda Seyfried) gives up her art-restoration work in the city so George (James Norton) can take a teaching post in the Hudson Valley. Their old colonial home greets them with cold spots, strange smells and a past the realtor chose not to mention. Catherine starts sensing the presence of dead women on the property, and at the same time begins piecing together a darker truth about the charming man she married. The smaller the town, the louder its secrets get.

Directing duo Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini adapted the film from Elizabeth Brundage's novel All Things Cease to Appear. It is a slow, gothic kind of dread where the real evil is fully human and the ghosts are mostly witnesses. F. Murray Abraham and Rhea Seehorn play locals who clearly know more than they let on.
