Oculus (2014) is Mike Flanagan's horror film, and you can watch it online on iFILM. As children, Kaylie and Tim Russell lost both parents in a horrific night, and the boy spent years locked in a psychiatric hospital for it.

Eleven years on, Tim (Brenton Thwaites) is released and ready to accept that his father simply broke down. Kaylie (Karen Gillan) refuses to. She blames the Lasser Glass, an antique mirror she tracks down and buys back, then hauls into their childhood home rigged with cameras, thermometers and timers meant to prove what really happened. The catch: the mirror bends what its watchers see, and the line between the footage of the past and the present hour starts to dissolve.

Flanagan runs two timelines at once, braiding the siblings as kids with their grown-up stand against the thing in the glass.
