A man from Five Keys, New Mexico calls the aging parapsychologist: something cruel has moved into his house. Elise takes the case and goes cold. To help a stranger, she has to walk back into the place she swore off and face the thing she once let loose herself.

Leigh Whannell wrote the script and plays the assistant Specs, with Angus Sampson alongside him as Tucker. This fourth chapter rewinds the clock and closes Elise's arc, tracing where her gift for seeing the dead began. The dread comes from waiting in the dark, not from cheap jump cuts.
