Synopsis
88 Minutes (2007) is a thriller built around a ticking clock, and you can watch online on iFILM. Al Pacino plays forensic psychiatrist Jack Gramm, who answers a phone call and is told he has less than 90 minutes left to live.
Years earlier, Gramm's testimony helped send serial killer Jon Forster to death row. Now, on the eve of the execution, a copycat murder hits one of Gramm's own students, and the countdown calls keep coming. Is Forster pulling strings from his cell? A student, a colleague, an ex? Gramm tears across the campus and back through his own past, trying to name the threat before the timer runs out.
Director Jon Avnet leans the whole picture on Pacino, casting him as a sharp man trapped by the very profiling skill that made his name. The cast around him includes Alicia Witt, Leelee Sobieski, William Forsythe and Stephen Moyer. It is a watch for anyone who likes a twisty murder puzzle carried by one big star.
