About

Synopsis

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) — directed by Nicholas Meyer — is the final voyage of the original Enterprise crew, available to watch online on iFILM. William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy return as Kirk and Spock, leading a crew that's nearly ready to retire when one last mission arrives: escorting the Klingon Chancellor to a peace summit.

The Klingon moon Praxis has exploded, gutting the Empire's energy supply and forcing them to the table. Kirk hates the assignment — his son was killed by Klingons, and old hatreds die hard. Then the Chancellor is assassinated mid-dinner. The Enterprise is the prime suspect. Kirk and McCoy end up imprisoned on a frozen Klingon gulag while someone inside both governments works to kill the peace before it starts.

Meyer turned the sixth film into a political thriller dressed as space opera — cold war allegory, a courtroom scene, Christopher Plummer as a Shakespeare-quoting villain — and stuck the landing. Stream Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) online on iFILM.
