The Phone (더 폰, 2015) is a South Korean thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Kim Bong-joo. Lawyer Dong-ho's wife is killed, the case goes cold, and a year passes in silence and grief.

Then his phone rings. It is her voice. She is calling from a year ago — from a day before she died. That single call turns a grief story into a race: Dong-ho has to reach back through time and stop something that already happened. Son Hyun-joo holds the film together through three or four emotional registers in the space of a scene, and the movie earns its twists instead of throwing them.
