Forgotten

Forgotten (2017) is a South Korean mystery thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Twenty-one-year-old Jin-seok moves into a new house with his family and notices something off right away: one room stays locked, his father warns him never to open it, and strange sounds leak out of it at night.

The calm doesn't last. Right in front of Jin-seok, masked men drag his older brother Yu-seok off into a van. Nineteen days later Yu-seok comes home alive but with no memory of where he went, and he isn't quite the same brother. New habits, a colder stare, a streak of cruelty that wasn't there before. Jin-seok, already on medication for anxiety, starts doubting his own mind and whether this man is really his brother at all.

Director Jang Hang-jun built the film as a trap that springs again and again, with Kang Ha-neul and Kim Mu-yeol carrying the tension. This is the kind of Korean thriller where the reveal rewrites everything you watched before it. If you love twisty puzzle-box stories with a false bottom, this one hits.
