King Arthur has gone into hiding in Rome. Back home in the kingdom of Logres, his former ally Lancelot has seized the throne with a band of Saxon mercenaries and rules through fear. The surviving knights organize a resistance and beg Arthur to come back. The trouble is, he doesn't want to. He's tired, jaded, and long past believing in his own legend. Lionnel Astier, Anne Girouard and Thomas Cousseau return, with cameos from Christian Clavier and Alain Chabat.

For six seasons the Kaamelott series shredded the Arthurian myth into short, absurd sketches; this film hands the same ragtag court a full cinematic scale without losing the deadpan wit.
