Beyond the Black Rainbow

Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010) is a Canadian sci-fi horror film you can watch online on iFILM, the debut feature from writer-director Panos Cosmatos. Cosmatos builds the whole thing out of synthesizer drones, static long takes, and production design that turns 1983 into something alien. It has almost no plot in a conventional sense — it's closer to an experience. For viewers who gravitate toward slow, style-first genre cinema, it's unlike most things in the horror catalogue.
