Beacon 23 (Seasons 1–2)
No one escapes with their sanity.
Synopsis
Beacon 23 (2023) is the science-fiction series you can watch online on iFILM. Out at the ragged edge of settled space stand the beacons — lonely stations that steer cargo ships clear of deadly asteroid fields, each run by a single keeper bonded to an onboard artificial intelligence. When Aster crash-lands at Beacon 23, its solitary keeper Halan can no longer tell whom he has let through the airlock.
A former soldier worn down by years of isolation, Halan watches the stranger upend his fragile routine. Aster swears she ended up here by accident, yet she hides her real aims a little too well. What follows is a slow contest of trust where one wrong read costs a life, and the station itself holds more secrets than either of them will own up to. Stephan James and Lena Headey play it out in tight close-ups and long, loaded silences.
The show draws on Hugh Howey's stories — the same author behind Silo — and lives in that same chamber-piece sci-fi: cramped corridors, few faces, heavy paranoia. The first season runs eight episodes. It's for viewers who want their space stories built on one person alone with the void rather than on dogfights. Stream Beacon 23 online on iFILM.
