Synopsis
La Chèvre (1981) is Francis Veber's crime comedy-adventure, ready to watch online on iFILM. When a millionaire's daughter vanishes in Mexico, he sends his clumsiest employee to find her — paired with a seasoned private detective who has no idea what he's in for.
The boss reasons it out with absurd confidence: his daughter is a walking disaster, so only an equally jinxed man will retrace her exact path. That puts hapless accountant François Perrin (Pierre Richard) on the ground in Mexico beside the grim professional Campana (Gérard Depardieu). Perrin trips, breaks, ignites and falls through floors, and somehow every catastrophe lands them straight on the missing woman's trail. Campana endures it as long as his nerves hold.
Veber builds the whole film on the clash of two opposites, a formula he'd reuse with the same duo in Les Compères. Richard is pure bad-luck chaos; Depardieu is stone-faced patience about to snap.
