Ruby & Quentin

Ruby & Quentin (Tais-toi!, 2003) is a French crime comedy from Francis Veber, and you can watch it online on iFILM. A prison cell throws together two men who could not be less alike: Ruby, a grim robber who stashed his loot before getting caught, and Quentin, a hulking, good-natured chatterbox who never stops talking for a second.

Ruby wants one thing only: to track down the partners who killed the woman he loved and to dig up the hidden money. Quentin just wants a friend and a little café of his own, so he latches onto his sullen cellmate and won't let go. Once they break out, Ruby can't shake the clumsy giant, whose idiocy keeps wrecking the plan and, just as often, accidentally saving both their necks. Jean Reno plays the silent Ruby, Gérard Depardieu the unstoppable Quentin, and the whole film runs on the gap between them.
