The Last Rifleman

Director Terry Loane keeps the story small and unshowy, loosely inspired by the real veteran who went AWOL to attend a D-Day commemoration. Brosnan is a long way from Bond here, playing a tired, stubborn old man with none of the polish. It's one for viewers who like quiet films about memory and war.
