Synopsis

Jewish immigration swells as families flee antisemitism in Europe, the villages bind together into a long uprising against three decades of London's control, and every personal choice the characters make starts bending under public weight.
Director Annemarie Jacir keeps the camera on intimate, human-scale moments while the larger rupture closes in, working with a cast that includes Hiam Abbass, Jeremy Irons, Liam Cunningham and Robert Aramayo.
