Synopsis
Regarding Henry (1991) is Mike Nichols' drama, available to watch online on iFILM. Harrison Ford plays sharply against type as Henry Turner, a ruthless New York litigator who wins cases by crushing people and barely registers his own wife and daughter at home.
It all collapses in a single moment. A convenience-store shooting leaves Henry without his memory, his speech, or the use of his legs. The old man is simply gone. What remains is a grown adult learning to hold a spoon and sound out words again, slowly piecing together a past he isn't proud of. Annette Bening is quietly devastating as the wife who loved the man he used to be and now lives with a kind stranger wearing his face.
The screenplay came from a young J.J. Abrams, years before Lost and Star Wars. This is a gentle, unhurried film about a second chance, and its power sits in Ford's restraint rather than any big twist. If you only know him as an action hero, watch what he does here with stillness. Stream Regarding Henry (1991) online on iFILM.
