Synopsis
Totally Killer (2023) is a time-travel horror comedy you can watch online on iFILM. In the present day, a masked killer who terrorized a small town in the 1980s comes back to claim a fresh victim.
Seventeen-year-old Jamie tumbles accidentally into 1987, landing right as the so-called Sweet Sixteen Killer begins his original spree. Back here, her own mother Pam is still a teenager with big hair and a cassette player, decades before smartphones. Jamie has to befriend the younger version of her mom, decode the social rules of a high school she only knows from stories, and unmask the killer before he strikes. Kiernan Shipka leads, alongside Olivia Holt and Julie Bowen.
Director Nahnatchka Khan balances the tone neatly between slasher and comedy: there's blood, but the sharpest jabs land on '80s clichés and our nostalgia for them.
