Synopsis
Jennifer's Body (2009) — watch online this horror-comedy directed by Karyn Kusama, written by Diablo Cody fresh off her Oscar win for Juno. Megan Fox plays Jennifer, the most popular girl at Devil's Kettle High, and Amanda Seyfried plays her best friend Needy, the one person left who can see what Jennifer has become.
After a night out at a local indie band's show goes badly wrong, Jennifer comes back changed. Boys start disappearing. Needy pieces it together — her best friend is feeding on their classmates, and she's the only one who can stop it. Adam Brody plays Nikolai, the band's slick frontman whose ritual had unintended consequences. Chris Pratt and J.K. Simmons appear in supporting roles.
Shot on a $16 million budget, the film flopped on release in 2009 but spent the next decade quietly building a second life. By 2019–2020 critics had reframed it as a pointed feminist satire — one where the monster is not the outcast but the homecoming queen. Kusama and Cody designed it that way from the start.
