He doesn't get it. His old neighborhood has been overrun by a Jamaican drug posse, and its leader — a chilling figure called Screwface, played by Basil Wallace — deals in heroin and blood-soaked voodoo alike. Once Hatcher cuts into the trade, the gang marks him and his family for death. On his side are an old friend turned coach, Max (Keith David), and a very short fuse. Director Dwight H. Little keeps it lean and mean: 93 minutes of snapped limbs, shootouts and Seagal's trademark aikido. A young Danny Trejo turns up early in his career.
