Synopsis
The Tournament (2009) is Scott Mann's brutal action thriller, ready to watch online on iFILM. Every few years, an unremarkable English town becomes the arena for thirty of the world's deadliest assassins. One rule governs the whole bloody event: last one breathing walks away.
The reward is ten million dollars and the title of the planet's number-one killer. Tracking chips let wealthy spectators bet on the carnage like it's a horse race. Then a chip ends up swallowed by a washed-up, alcoholic local priest, dropping a man who has never killed anyone into a city full of contract murderers hunting him. Robert Carlyle, Kelly Hu, Ving Rhames and Scott Adkins trade beatings at a relentless clip.
Mann keeps it lean and nasty — close-quarters fights, chases, blood with none of the slick hitman-cool romance. It runs short and barely pauses for breath.
