About

Synopsis

Spice World (1997) is the Spice Girls' big-screen musical comedy, and you can watch online on iFILM. The five biggest pop stars of the decade play themselves over a few chaotic days leading up to a massive live show at the Royal Albert Hall.

Mel B, Emma Bunton, Melanie C, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham tear around London in a glossy double-decker tour bus, rehearsing, bickering, and dodging a pushy manager and a tabloid hack out to set them up. The whole thing is deliberately silly, packed with jokes at their own expense, surreal fantasy detours, and a parade of cameos — Roger Moore as a riddle-spouting boss, Alan Cumming, Richard E. Grant, Elvis Costello. Director Bob Spiers stages it as one big goofy ride and never pretends to be serious cinema.

Think of it as a time capsule of Spice Girls mania at its absolute peak — a film that plays far better with a wink and some affection for the era than with a straight face. If you grew up on "Wannabe" or love nineties pop culture, this one is made for you. Stream Spice World (1997) online on iFILM.
