Synopsis
Dogma (1999) is Kevin Smith's religious satire, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Two fallen angels stuck in Wisconsin find a loophole back into Heaven. The catch: if it works, all of existence gets erased.
Loki and Bartleby plan to walk through the arch of a New Jersey cathedral, where a cardinal has promised every visitor a clean slate of sins for an anniversary celebration. Slip into Heaven against God's will and reality unravels. The only person who can stop them is Bethany, an abortion-clinic worker from Illinois who turns out to be a distant relative of Christ. She picks up some odd help along the way: the loudmouth prophets Jay and Silent Bob, a thirteenth apostle named Rufus, and a muse called Serendipity who moonlights at a strip club.
Smith stacked this provocation with a wild cast: Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as the angels, plus Linda Fiorentino, Salma Hayek, Chris Rock, Jason Lee and Alan Rickman as the voice of God. Alanis Morissette shows up as the Almighty herself. The film drew Catholic protests before it even opened and has since become a cult favorite. Stream Dogma (1999) online on iFILM.
