Wayne's World 2

Wayne's World 2 (1993) is a music comedy you can watch online on iFILM. The sequel to the Saturday Night Live spin-off sends its two cable-access rock obsessives off on their goofiest mission yet: throwing a festival of their own.

It starts with a dream. The ghost of Jim Morrison appears to Wayne Campbell and tells him to stage a concert, so Wayne and his buddy Garth set out to build "Waynestock" with Aerosmith headlining. The road there is a mess. A smooth-talking record producer keeps circling Wayne's girlfriend Cassandra, while Garth gets hopelessly tangled up with a bombshell named Honey Hornée. The jokes fire straight at the camera, stuffed with parodies, cameos and that trademark "Schwing!"

Mike Myers and Dana Carvey slip right back into character under director Stephen Surjik, with Christopher Walken, Chris Farley, Kim Basinger and Charlton Heston turning up along the way. This is pure early-'90s energy: silly, self-aware and packed with rock-culture references of its moment. It is not sharper than the first one, but for fans of the duo it delivers.
