Intruders

Intruders (2011) is a Spanish-British supernatural thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Two children on opposite ends of Europe are stalked by the same faceless thing that slips in at night and feeds on what they fear most.

In London, John Farrow (Clive Owen) watches his daughter Mia (Ella Purnell) grow obsessed with a creature she calls Hollow Face, and before long he can no longer tell nightmare from waking life. Meanwhile in Madrid, a small boy named Juan suffers the same visions while his mother (Pilar López de Ayala) searches for a rational answer. Locks and alarms do nothing here, because Hollow Face is not the kind of intruder you can simply keep out.

Director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, of 28 Weeks Later, leans on dread and slow tension rather than jump scares, and a late twist reframes everything that came before, so it rewards close attention.
