Synopsis

Jeff, Who Lives at Home (2012) is a Duplass brothers comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Jeff is thirty, lives in his mom's basement, and is waiting for the universe to tell him what to do.

The sign, in his mind, arrives as a wrong number asking for someone named Kevin. Jeff (Jason Segel) takes it as fate and wanders out into Baton Rouge chasing meaning in random coincidences. He crosses paths with his older brother Pat (Ed Helms) — uptight, broke from a new Porsche he can't afford, and convinced his wife is cheating. One aimless day pulls the two of them through stakeouts, blowups and clumsy chases, while their mother (Susan Sarandon) has a quiet jolt of her own back at the office.

Shot loose and handheld, full of the awkward pauses the Duplasses built their name on, the movie runs a tight 83 minutes and rides on the brothers more than on plot. It's for anyone who likes small, low-key indies that sneak up on you. Stream Jeff, Who Lives at Home (2012) online on iFILM.
