3000 Miles to Graceland

3000 Miles to Graceland (2001) is Demian Lichtenstein's crime-action shoot-'em-up you can watch online on iFILM. A crew of robbers dressed as Elvis hits a Las Vegas casino, then turns its guns on itself once the cash is in hand.

The setup is brazenly simple: slip into an Elvis impersonator convention, use the sideburns and rhinestone jumpsuits as cover, and clean out the Riviera's count room. Kurt Russell plays Michael, an ex-con fresh out of prison; Kevin Costner plays Murphy, a stone-cold killer who has no intention of splitting $3.2 million with anybody. The job goes off, the partners start dividing the take, and Murphy answers with bullets. Courteney Cox, Christian Slater, Kevin Pollak, and David Arquette round out the cast.

It's pure turn-of-the-millennium post-Tarantino style: gunfights over the clatter of slot machines, gallows humor, spent shells everywhere, and a tagline that sums up the attitude, "Crime Is King."
