Sylvester Stallone plays the worn-out pro in a low register while Antonio Banderas goes full manic as his rival, with Julianne Moore between them. The script came from the Wachowskis years before The Matrix, and their fixation on watching and being watched is already here. Two-plus hours of chases, setups and a duel where the loser never reaches the credits.
