Sleepless

Sleepless (2017) is a Jamie Foxx crime action thriller you can watch online on iFILM. In Las Vegas, detective Vincent Downs hijacks a shipment of cocaine that belongs to a mob-run casino. Hours later, gangsters grab his teenage son and demand the drugs back.

What follows is a single sleepless night with no margin for error. Downs prowls the floors of a glitzy casino hotel where both the stash and his boy are hidden. Internal affairs is closing in too: a sharp investigator played by Michelle Monaghan is convinced Vincent is a dirty cop. Meanwhile the casino owner, a volatile crime-family heir, and a pack of crooked officers all want that cocaine, and every one of them will kill for it.

German director Baran bo Odar, the mind behind the series Dark, made this remake of the 2011 French thriller Nuit Blanche. Locking the action almost entirely inside one building keeps the pace tight and claustrophobic. Foxx carries the whole mess on his shoulders, making it a solid late-night genre ride.
