Fragile

Fragile (2005) is a Spanish-British horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Jaume Balagueró of [REC] fame. A children's hospital is days from shutting down, and nurse Amy arrives to help move the last patients out.

Amy (Calista Flockhart) carries the guilt of a patient who died on her watch. The kids in the ward whisper about a "mechanical girl" who walks the halls after dark and won't let anyone leave. The third floor, sealed off forty years ago, holds something furious and grieving. As the final night approaches, the unseen footsteps grow harder to explain away, and Dr. Robert (Richard Roxburgh) slowly stops dismissing her.

Balagueró trades cheap jump scares for slow dread, creaking pipes and the hum of an empty building. If you prefer a patient gothic ghost story over a slasher, this one rewards the wait, with cold cinematography turning the old hospital into a character of its own.
