My Pet Dragon

The first thing he finds there is an orphaned baby dragon. The creature decides Aleksei is its mother and refuses to let go. Together they need to snap Prince Filimon out of a deep funk, knock out an allegedly unbeatable bruiser called Bambula, and fend off the principality's enemies — all while a princess lurks somewhere in the chaos. Nina Usatova, Roman Kurtzyn, and Viktoria Agalakova round out the cast. The film plays it straight enough for kids to love the dragon and just wry enough for adults to enjoy the ride.
