Synopsis

Czechoslovakia, 1969 — a year after Soviet tanks rolled into Prague. A writer makes an irreversible choice: he publishes a self-incriminating confession in a samizdat underground magazine, naming himself and his fellow writers. One by one, colleagues vanish. Friends stop answering. What sets in is a slow erasure — he still exists, but no one acknowledges it. Each night he waits for the visitor assigned to silence him for good. That visitor will end up as the sole character in his final manuscript. A book no one will ever read.
