Dreams (Drømmer, 2024) is a Norwegian drama from Dag Johan Haugerud you can watch online on iFILM. Seventeen-year-old Johanne falls for the first time, and the person she wants is her teacher.

She never says a word out loud. Instead she writes — page after page in a notebook, fantasies and feelings set down so vividly that her poet mother and her grandmother start reading them as literature. Soon the question isn't the crush at all, but whether the writing deserves to be published. For Johanne, the diary was a way to keep the feeling hers, and all that praise quietly takes it away.

The film closes Haugerud's loose trilogy alongside Sex and Love, and it's the one that took home the Golden Bear in Berlin. Ella Øverbye carries it, with Selome Emnetu and Anne Marit Jacobsen around her. Quiet, talky, and sharp about the moment private life becomes a text other people get to edit.
