His skin is carved with scars and tattoos, his head shaved bald, and only one thing can break the spell — someone has to truly love him within a year, ugliness and all. Alex Pettyfer plays a boy left with nothing to trade on but himself. Vanessa Hudgens is Lindy, the girl he hides away. Neil Patrick Harris brings the wit as a blind tutor.
