Dennis is a professional bodybuilder — enormous, tattooed, and shy in a way that doesn't match his frame at all. He lives with his mother, who manages his life with a grip she mistakes for love. When a family friend returns from Thailand with a quiet wife and the look of a man who finally got it right, Dennis buys a ticket. Kim Kold, an actual bodybuilding champion, plays Dennis with disarming honesty — there's something genuinely affecting about watching a man that size try so carefully not to get anything wrong.
