Vulgaria (低俗喜劇, 2012) is a Hong Kong dark comedy directed by Pang Ho-Cheung — watch it online on iFILM. Producer To Wai-chen is behind on child support, out of options, and takes the only job on the table: a softcore remake of a Chinese erotic classic for a client no respectable studio would touch.

The whole thing is framed as a film-school Q&A. To sits in front of baffled students and narrates how the shoot fell apart in stages. Chapman To carries every scene with a deadpan that makes the escalating absurdity feel almost reasonable. The supporting cast is packed with Hong Kong cinema veterans gleefully embarrassing themselves.
