Synopsis
Cachito de Cielo (2012) is a Mexican telenovela from Televisa you can watch online on iFILM, starring Pedro Fernández and Maite Perroni. Argentine writer Mario Schajris adapted the story from Here Comes Mr. Jordan (1941) and Heaven Can Wait (1978): a popular young footballer nicknamed Cachito is struck by lightning in the middle of his most important match and wakes up somewhere he wasn't supposed to be.
A clerical error in heaven sends him back — but into the wrong body. He wakes as Padre Salvador, a small-town priest who has a congregation to lead. Cachito knows nothing about scripture, confessionals, or keeping his composure at the altar. Meanwhile his girlfriend Renata, a sports journalist, mourns him not knowing he is still around.
