Synopsis
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (2025) is a romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Michael Morris. Renée Zellweger returns as Bridget, now widowed — Mark Darcy died on a humanitarian mission — and cautiously re-entering the world years later.
She's back at work, raising her kids solo, and has downloaded a dating app she mostly stares at. Then Leo Woodall turns up as a considerably younger man who is hard to dismiss, and Chiwetel Ejiofor plays her son's science teacher, who is harder still. Hugh Grant reappears as Daniel Cleaver, which means charm, bad timing, and an uncertain amount of goodwill. Jim Broadbent and Gemma Jones are back as Bridget's parents, reliably saying the wrong thing with all the right intentions.
Based on Helen Fielding's 2013 novel Mad About the Boy, this fourth entry in the franchise trades the will-they-won't-they of earlier films for something more bittersweet: figuring out who you want to be after loss. Stream Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (2025) online on iFILM.
