Synopsis

At the top sits godfather Milo, ruling with an iron fist, and Jean Reno plays him so that a single glance tells you who is in charge. His son and heir Anton, played by Gaspard Ulliel, wants out — a life of his own, and a future with Élodie, a woman who has nothing to do with the clan. But no one walks away from this circle on their own terms. While Anton looks for a way out, Inspector Sonier runs a hunt of his own, having sworn to bring the elder Malakian down whatever it takes.
The Reno–Ulliel pairing, a father and son bound by blood and headed for collision, is what gives the film its pulse. It skips the romance of gangster life and trades it for a tight pace and a couple of hard turns. Solid European crime for an evening, especially if you like a good mob-family saga.
