V for Vendetta

Who hides behind the mask, and what the party did to him, surfaces only slowly. Inspector Finch (Stephen Rea) tracks the bombings and starts digging up a past the state would rather bury.

Adapted from the graphic novel by Alan Moore and David Lloyd, with a script from the Wachowskis. The film pushed the Fawkes mask off the page and into real protests around the globe.
