Synopsis
Scarface (1983) is Brian De Palma's crime epic you can watch online on iFILM. Al Pacino plays Tony Montana, a Cuban refugee who arrives in Miami in 1980 with nothing and claws his way to the top of the city's cocaine trade. Oliver Stone wrote the script; the runtime is 170 minutes with nowhere to hide.
Tony starts at the bottom — a dishwashing gig, then a brutal first deal that goes wrong in a Miami hotel bathroom, then a slow takeover of his boss Frank Lopez's operation. His best friend Manny Ray, played by Steven Bauer, is the one person he trusts. Michelle Pfeiffer's Elvira is cold, beautiful, and just as trapped by wealth as Tony himself. The higher he climbs, the tighter the spiral gets. Every line Tony crosses leaves one fewer option for getting out.
The film flopped on release, then spent the next decade turning into something closer to scripture on VHS. Forty-plus years later it still shapes how gangster stories get told. Stream Scarface (1983) in full online on iFILM.
