Synopsis
Man on High Heels (하이힐, 2014) is a South Korean action drama you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Jang Jin, it follows Ji-wook, a homicide detective whose fists settle most cases before his questions do.
Behind that tough-cop image hides a secret he guards from everyone: Ji-wook has always felt like a woman, and he has finally decided to go through with transition surgery. Then it all comes apart. A gang he once put away comes looking for blood, dragging him back into the violence he was ready to leave behind, right when he was choosing who he really wants to be.
Cha Seung-won carries the whole film, playing the brutal detective and the fragile truth underneath without turning either into a cartoon. The fight scenes hit hard, but the quiet ones cut deeper. "I killed her in me," reads the tagline, and the movie earns that line. Not an easy watch, yet rewarding for anyone who likes an action film that aims for the heart.
