Synopsis
Amish Grace (2010) is a US TV drama directed by Gregg Champion — watch online on iFILM. In October 2006, a gunman walked into an Amish one-room schoolhouse in Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania, and opened fire. Five girls died. Five more were wounded.
The story that gripped the world wasn't only the shooting. Within hours, members of the community were extending forgiveness to the killer's family — attending his funeral, offering support to his widow. The film follows that process through Ida Graber (Kimberly Williams-Paisley), a grieving mother torn between her faith and her rage, and Tammy Blanchard as the killer's wife trying to understand what happened to her life.
Gregg Champion shoots this with restraint that fits the subject. It won't offer easy comfort — but it asks a question that lingers long after: what does forgiveness actually cost the person giving it? Stream Amish Grace (2010) online on iFILM.
