Synopsis
A Wednesday! (2008) is an Indian thriller directed by Neeraj Pandey that you can watch online on iFILM. Between two and six in the afternoon, Mumbai police commissioner Prakash Rathod (Anupam Kher) receives a call from a stranger (Naseeruddin Shah) with a single demand: release four imprisoned terrorists, or he won't reveal where he has planted bombs across the city.
Rathod doesn't know who the man is, where he's calling from, or whether the threat is real. His team (Jimmy Shergill leads the ops side) traces calls and scrambles to find the locations while the clock runs. The stranger, it turns out, has thought all of this through far more carefully than anyone on the police side anticipated.
Pandey shot his debut almost in real time — tight budget, four-hour window, no action set pieces. That compression is the whole mechanism. A Wednesday! works not because of twists but because of what the ending actually argues about ordinary people and violence. Stream it online on iFILM.
