About

Synopsis

Fair Game (2010) is a drama thriller from director Doug Liman that you can watch online on iFILM. Naomi Watts and Sean Penn lead a story drawn from one of the loudest political scandals of the early 2000s.

Valerie Plame runs a quiet double life. To the neighbors she is a working mother; on the job she is a CIA officer tracking weapons of mass destruction. Her husband, former diplomat Joseph Wilson, is sent to Niger to check a rumor that Saddam bought uranium there, and finds nothing to back it up. When the White House leans on that rumor anyway to justify war, Wilson writes an op-ed. Someone inside the administration answers by handing Plame's name to the press, and a covert agent lands on the front page overnight.

From there the film moves into their home. The exposed officer loses her career, her foreign contacts are left hanging, and the marriage strains under the glare of cameras. Liman skips the spy-movie heroics and instead studies how a government can grind down a person who dared to tell the truth. Stream Fair Game (2010) online on iFILM.
