Nocturne

Nocturne (2020) is a psychological horror film you can watch online on iFILM. A US production and the feature debut of writer-director Zu Quirke, it stars Sydney Sweeney.

Set inside a cutthroat arts academy, the story follows Juliet, a shy pianist who has spent her whole life trailing her confident twin sister Vivian. Vivian plays better, smiles wider, gets the solos. Then Juliet finds a notebook left behind by a classmate who recently died, and its pages read like a shortcut to real brilliance. The talent comes. So does the price, and the world around her starts to bend in ways she can't explain away.

Nocturne arrived as part of Amazon's Welcome to the Blumhouse slate, from the studio behind Get Out and Paranormal Activity. The dread here grows out of envy, ambition and self-destruction rather than any monster, and the ending leans cold enough to divide viewers, which is exactly what gives it bite.
